Clemons, Licking County, Ohio
1920 Population - no records available
Clemons was located on the New York Central Railroad (T&OC - Eastern Branch) between Alexandria and Granville, two miles south of Alexandria. The Eastern Branch ran from Toledo to Thurston.
Clemons was not even a village, but rather its reason for being was a source of water capable of filling the large water tank shown in the photo. The building on the left was the pump house. The small building beyond the tank was a telegraph station for an operator. There’s also a siding, but no sign of the coal tipple.
