CRP&L Co. Cars 701-723
701-723 - Twenty-three cars built by the G.C. Kuhlman Car Co. of Cleveland, Ohio. These were the last new cars purchased by the CRP&L. They were converted to one man operation in 1933. They were taken out of service October 10, 1948. One car, 703, can be seen at the Ohio Railway Museum.
Remarks: Rebuilt for one-man operation on 7/19/1933. The cars were originally built with a West-D16 compressor. 703’s body sat at Obetz from 1948 to1962. In December, 1962 the body was moved to the Ohio Railway Museum where electrical equipment and trucks from a Toronto streetcar were used to restore 703 to operating condition.
