The Columbus, New Albany & Johnstown - 2007

The Columbus, New Albany and Johnstown Railroad started with big ambitions, but only got as far as the west bank of Big Walnut Creek in Gahanna.  Its track was built to 5' 2" gauge the same as the Columbus streetcar line and it used Columbus Streetcar tracks into Columbus.  Its carbarn was located on Rarig Avenue just outside the Ralston Steel Car Co. gate.  Later when teh CNA&J stopped service, the Ralston Co. purchased the car barn.  It still stands on the property and can be seen from the south end of Rarig Avenue.
