Columbus Streetcar Equipment - 2007

All that remains of the hundreds of pieces of equipment that traveled the streets of Columbus is horsecar #6, workcar #067 and streetcar #703.

Horsecar #6 is a superb restoration to be found in the Ohio Historical Society's museum on the Ohio State Fairgrounds property (I71 and 17th Avenue).

Workcar #067 was saved from destruction by the Ohio Railway Museum volunteers in 1948.  In 1985 it was taken to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, PA were it now resides.  B.J. Kern one of the founders of the ORM is the motorman in this photo taken at the ORM.

Streetcar #703.  Post card photo taken at the Ohio Railway Museum by Dave Bunge in 1973.  The car had just been completely restored by ORM volunteers.
